Complete the O-Circuit — the full loop around the Torres del Paine massif in southern Chile, extending the famous W-Trek with the back side of the park through the Valle del Frances, Lago Grey, and the remote Perros and John Gardner passes. The O-Circuit takes 8-9 days; the John Gardner Pass above Lago Grey at 1,241 m is exposed and weather-dependent. The back side of the massif sees a fraction of the W-trekkers and provides views of unexplored east face walls and glaciers invisible from the main routes. Book CONAF refugio and campsite permits far in advance.
