Overview
Trek through Jotunheimen — Home of the Giants, Norway's highest national park with 250 peaks above 2,000 m — on the classic Besseggen Ridge above Gjende lake (the most walked mountain route in Scandinavia) and the longer Krossbu to Turtagro traverse via Fanarakken and Hurrungane. The Galdhopiggen (2,469 m) summit, the highest in Scandinavia, can be reached on a guided glacier walk from Juvasshytta. The DNT hut network provides infrastructure across the entire park; no camping required. July and August are the main season.
