Overview
Ride the North Yungas Road from La Cumbre pass (4,650 m) to Coroico (1,200 m) — once the world's most dangerous road, now the world's most famous mountain bike descent. The 64 km route drops 3,400 m in vertical elevation through fog-shrouded cloud forest on a narrow unpaved track carved into cliffs above 600 m drops. Commercial operators provide quality mountain bikes, full-face helmets, and support vehicles following each group. The road surface is loose gravel and clay in places; the speed of descent is rider-controlled. An extraordinary natural environment compressed into half a day's riding.
