Turkey Lycian Way Coastal Trek

Overview

Walk Turkey's first long-distance trail — 540 km along the ancient Lycian coastline from Fethiye to Antalya — through ruined Lycian cities, Byzantine churches, and Ottoman hamlets perched on clifftops above turquoise bays. The trail is waymarked but requires navigational attention on faded sections. Accommodation ranges from pensions in villages to wild camping on secluded headlands. Spring brings wildflowers and mild temperatures; summer is hot and sections near sea level are brutal in July and August.
