Overview
The La Marmotte is one of cycling's legendary Gran Fondo sportive events, covering 174 kilometres and 5,000 metres of climbing through four major Alpine passes including Alpe d'Huez with its 21 numbered bends famous from the Tour de France. The route from Bourg d'Oisans climbs the Glandon, Telegraphe, and Galibier before the iconic Alpe d'Huez finish. Thousands of amateur cyclists attempt this benchmark Alpine cycling challenge every July.
