Overview
The Banzai Pipeline on Oahu's North Shore breaks over a shallow reef to produce the world's most photogenic — and most dangerous — surf break. The hollow left-hand barrel reaches 6–8 m in peak season and has claimed more lives than any other surfbreak. This is for expert surfers only; beginners can watch from the beach as the world's best compete in the Eddie Aikau and Pipe Masters events between November and February.
