Whitehaven to Sunderland · United Kingdom
The Sea to Sea (C2C) is Britain's most popular long-distance cycle route, crossing northern England from the Irish Sea at Whitehaven to the North Sea at Sunderland or Tynemouth in around 220 km. The route climbs through the fells of the Lake District and crosses the wild Pennine moors before descending through former pit villages and industrial heritage to the east coast. A perfect mix of dramatic scenery, cultural history, and achievable challenge — most cyclists complete it in three to five days.
