Jotunheimen, Home of the Giants, is Norway's most dramatic national park, containing the country's two highest peaks at Galdhopiggen 2469m and Glittertind 2465m above an ice cap. The classic Besseggen Ridge walk above Lake Gjende was described by Ibsen as the most dramatic walk in Norway, and the exposed section above the blue Bessvatnet is one of Europe's finest mountain ridge walks.
