Overview

Pulpit Rock is a flat-topped cliff rising 604 metres above the Lysefjord in Norway, one of the most dramatic natural viewpoints in Europe. The 8-kilometre round trip hike gains 330m through birch forest and rocky plateau to a summit overlooking the fjord in both directions. The Kjeragbolten rock wedged in a crevasse above a 1000-metre drop is accessible on a more challenging trail nearby for those seeking the ultimate vertiginous photograph.
