Overview
Trolltunga is a horizontal rock platform projecting horizontally 700 metres above Lake Ringedalsvatnet, creating the most dramatic photograph in Norway. The 22-kilometre round trip involves 1000m of ascent, and the view from the Troll's Tongue hovering above the turquoise lake is worth every step of the grueling approach. The Hardanger region around the trail provides fjord, waterfall, and glacier scenery throughout the approach.
