The Pantanal wetland in Brazil and Bolivia is the world's largest tropical wetland at 150,000 square kilometres and has the highest concentration of jaguars in the world, with the Porto Jofre area offering near-daily jaguar sightings along the Cuiaba River from motorised boats. Capybara, giant river otters, giant anteaters, and the giant jabiru stork are all common sightings in this hyper-biodiverse ecosystem that floods up to 80 percent of its area during the wet season.
