Telegraph Creek · Canada
The Stikine River cuts through the Coast Mountains of British Columbia in the deepest navigable canyon in North America — the Grand Canyon of the Stikine — inaccessible except by river. The 90 km traverse between Telegraph Creek and Wrangell crosses Class IV–V whitewater in a glacially carved corridor with 2,000 m walls rising directly from the water. Eagles, bears, and mountain goats are constant companions. Self-supported rafting only; no outfitter access.
