Carrara · Italy
The Traverse of the Angels (Traversata degli Angeli) is a 7-day high-level route across the Apuan Alps in Tuscany — an unusual mountain range of white Carrara marble rising directly above the Ligurian coast, where marble quarries expose raw white cliffs visible from the sea. The traverse links via ferrata, ridge paths, and mountain rifugi, with views simultaneously inland to the Apennines and out to sea.
