Serengeti National Park, Tanzania · Tanzania
Follow the Great Migration — 1.5 million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebra and gazelle continuously circling a 2,900 km route through the Serengeti and Maasai Mara ecosystems — by following the herd north through the Western Corridor in June for river crossings at the Grumeti, then north to the Mara River in July-October for the famous crocodile-infested Mara crossings. The central Seronera area provides year-round predator viewing; the Ndutu area (February-March) is the calving season with the highest lion and cheetah density in Africa.
