Ride a camel into the Erg Chebbi sand dunes of the Moroccan Sahara near Merzouga — the classic dune sea with crests reaching 150 m — for an overnight camp in a Berber tent, waking before sunrise to climb a dune crest and watch the desert light transform the landscape through 40 shades of orange. The experience is deliberately simple: no electricity, no Wi-Fi, just fire, mint tea, and a sky saturated with stars. Multi-day extensions south to Erg Chigaga — larger and more remote, accessible only by 4WD — provide a genuine desert immersion.
