Paddle the Zambezi River in Canadian canoes through Mana Pools National Park — a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Zambezi Valley — sleeping on white sandbanks while hippos surface and snort around the campsite. Mana Pools is famous for wildlife encounters at extremely close range: elephants stand on hind legs to reach acacia pods; wild dogs hunt impala along the floodplain.
