Overview
The Osa Peninsula — described by National Geographic as the most biologically intense place on Earth — combines world-class surfing at Pavones and Matapalo with exceptional diving in the Cano Island Biological Reserve. Cano Island is a protected marine area 20 km offshore where hammerhead sharks, whale sharks, manta rays, and enormous schools of fish aggregate around a rocky seamount. On shore, scarlet macaws, tapirs, and all four monkey species found in Costa Rica inhabit the Corcovado National Park forest. A remote, complete adventure destination.
