Denali at 6190m is North America's highest peak and one of the seven summits, with the West Buttress route providing the standard mountaineering ascent from a glacier camp to the summit. The 21-day expedition involves hauling heavy loads through extreme cold, navigating crevassed glaciers, and surviving high camps in winds above 100mph.
