Overview

Churchill on the western shore of Hudson Bay is the polar bear capital of the world, where bears gather in October and November waiting for the bay to freeze and begin their winter seal hunting. Tundra Buggy tours drive alongside bears that come within touching distance of the vehicle windows, and walking safaris with armed guides allow foot encounters.
