Overview
The Great Himalaya Trail is the longest and highest trekking route on Earth, traversing Nepal from Kanchenjunga to Hilsa near the Tibet border over 1,700 kilometres and over 100,000 metres of total ascent. Fewer than 100 people have completed the full high route, which passes through every restricted zone in Nepal including Dolpo, Mustang, and Nar Phu. The low alternative route is still an extraordinary journey but the high route remains one of the world's great unfinished ambitions.
