Overview
The Dientes de Navarino circuit on Navarino Island in Chilean Patagonia is the southernmost trekking circuit in the world, circling the jagged black peaks of the Dientes range with views over the Beagle Channel to Tierra del Fuego. The five-day route has no maintained infrastructure and requires cross-country navigation through peat bogs, lenga beech forest, and granite boulder fields. Wind speeds of 100 kilometres per hour are routine and the weather changes in minutes.
