Overview
The Namib Desert along Namibia's Skeleton Coast is the world's oldest desert, with dunes at Sossusvlei rising 325 metres above the orange-red plains. Walking the dune crests at dawn before the wind erases yesterday's tracks and descending to Deadvlei's white clay pan ringed by 900-year-old dead camel thorn trees is a singular desert photography experience.
