Overview
The Snowman Trek in Bhutan is consistently ranked among the world's most challenging high-altitude treks, crossing eleven passes above 4,500 metres and spending three weeks in zones where no villages exist and resupply is impossible. Only about 25% of trekkers who start actually complete the full 35-day route from Paro to Sephu, due to altitude sickness, weather, and sheer difficulty. The traverse of the Lunana district passes through Bhutan's most remote inhabited valley.
