Overview
The Leh-Manali Highway is one of the world's great motorcycle journeys — 428 km across the Himalayan high plateau through five passes including Tanglang La at 5,328 m, the second-highest motorable pass in the world. The road is open only from June to early October; outside this window, snow closes all access. Riding through Tibetan Buddhist landscapes at altitude, camping at Sarchu (4,290 m), and descending into the Kullu valley via the Rohtang Pass is a week of unforgettable riding.
