Overview
A 5-day self-supported trek through the Namib-Naukluft National Park — from the ancient Sossusvlei dunes through the calcrete plains and granite inselbergs of the Naukluft to the Olive Trail — crosses the world's oldest desert in its least-visited corner. Dead acacia trees bleached white against orange dunes, gemsbok leaving lone tracks across clay pans, and stars unpolluted for 1,000 km in any direction make this an austere, beautiful experience.
