Cycle from the Pindaya Caves — a sacred Buddhist complex of 8,000 Buddha images in a limestone cave above a lake, reached by escalator or a steep stone stairway — south to Inle Lake through Pa-O and Shan highland villages. The route descends from 1,180 m through tea and sesame farming communities on quiet mountain roads rarely travelled by tourists.
