A shorter Khumbu circuit that reaches Tengboche Monastery (3,867 m) and Namche Bazaar with views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Everest without committing to the full Base Camp journey. The 8-day trek from Lukla to Tengboche and back through Phakding and Namche Bazaar is ideal for trekkers with limited time or altitude concerns. The Saturday market at Namche Bazaar — the hub of Sherpa trade in the Khumbu — is the best place in the world to equip for high-altitude adventures. The monastery at Tengboche hosts Mani Rimdu in November.
