Explore Inle Lake — a shallow highland lake at 880 m in the Shan Hills — by kayak, weaving between floating gardens tended by Intha fishermen who row with one leg wrapped around an oar. The lake district contains dozens of Shan, Pa-O, and Danu villages accessible only by water or unpaved track.
