Overview
Lower Dolpa is the accessible part of the remote Dolpa region of western Nepal, centered on Phoksumdo Lake at 3611m, the deepest and arguably most beautiful lake in Nepal with its impossible turquoise waters in a desert canyon landscape. The 2-week trek from Juphal airstrip through Chhepka, Ringmo village, and back provides an introduction to Dolpa culture without the extreme remote and high-altitude challenges of Upper Dolpa.
