Overview
Api Mountain at 7132m in Nepal's far western Mahakali zone is one of the least visited Himalayan peaks, and the approach to its base camp is one of the most remote Himalayan treks accessible to ordinary trekkers. The route passes through Saipal Forest, Kailash highland meadows, and a landscape of Khas, Bhotia, and Humla cultures that preserve medieval Himalayan traditions unchanged. This is Nepal's final frontier for serious trekkers.
