Overview
The south base camp of Kangchenjunga at 4780m approaches the third highest mountain from its less-visited southern flank through Yamphudin village and the Simbua Khola valley. The Yalung Glacier approach passes beneath the complete south face of Kangchenjunga in a remote valley rarely visited even by Nepali trekkers. Combining with the north base camp creates the complete Kangchenjunga circuit for determined high-altitude trekkers.
