Overview
The Upper Mustang restricted area in Nepal preserves the last remnant of the ancient Lo Kingdom, with its Tibetan-style cave cities, medieval walled town of Lo Manthang, and completely arid landscape unlike anywhere else in Nepal. Descending by mountain bike from the high desert plateau at 3,800 metres through the Kali Gandaki gorge, the world's deepest valley, is a unique adventure combining restricted zone access with technical riding.
