Kangerlussuaq · Greenland
Crossing the Greenland Ice Cap from Kangerlussuaq to Sisimiut is one of the world's great polar ski journeys, covering 550 kilometres on the world's second-largest ice sheet at altitudes up to 2,500 metres. The route follows the Nansen historic track from 1888 on skis with pulks loaded with three weeks of supplies. White-out conditions, katabatic winds, and polar cold make this a serious polar expedition.
