The Sierra Nevada section of the Pacific Crest Trail from Kennedy Meadows to Tuolumne Meadows covers the most dramatic 500 kilometres of the entire 4,300-kilometre trail. The route crosses Forester Pass at 4,009 metres (the highest point on the PCT), traverses the John Muir Trail, and passes through Kings Canyon, Sequoia, and Yosemite National Parks.
