Overview
Kyrgyzstan's Tian Shan mountains offer world-class trekking through a country where nomadic culture remains alive on summer jailoo pastures dotted with yurts. The classic Ak-Suu traverse in the Terskey Ala-Too range crosses five high passes above 3,800 metres and descends into valleys where you can sleep in family yurts and drink fermented mare's milk.
