Overview
The Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh is India's most dramatic high-altitude desert — a cold, arid, Tibetan-plateau landscape of white Himalayan peaks, ancient mud-brick monasteries (Key Gompa, Tabo, Dhankar), and the Pin River gorge.
