Overview
The Fitz Roy massif in Los Glaciares National Park near El Chaltén is Patagonia's most dramatic granite terrain — a vertical world of towers and needles that inspired the Patagonia clothing logo. The base camp hike to Laguna de los Tres offers the iconic reflection of Monte Fitz Roy (3,405 m) in ice-cold water. Multiday circuits reach the Hielo Continental from the west; via ferrata access to the base of the Supercanaleta is for climbers only.
